Eleven Schools to One

St Luke’s was abuzz this morning as 2019 Year 7 students arrived in a range of different uniforms from schools all over Western Sydney for the Year 7 Orientation Day. There was an element of trepidation and also excitement as next year’s Year 7 cohort, including current St Luke’s Year 6 students, gathered together in the theatrette to hear about their day ahead.

After a welcome from Mr Miller and hearing from current Year 7 students, our Year 6 students and future students were divided into five teams and went off to enjoy different activities around the College. They experienced an art lesson with Mrs Pettenon, STEM with Mrs Rainima, Coding with Miss Miano, Maths Problem Solving with Mrs Aggarwal and Team Building with Mrs Atkins. At the end of the day, the entire group came back together to finish off the afternoon playing sport with Mrs Paz.

It was a fun-filled, jam-packed day, giving all of the attendees an opportunity to get a taste of life at St Luke’s. We are really looking forward to Day 1 next year, when our Year 7 students arrive at the College all in the St Luke’s uniform!
