π Congratulations, Cadence! π A huge congratulations to Cadence (Year 5 Acutis), who helped lead the Blacktown Storm U12 Girls Division 2 team to become the 2026 Metro NSW Junior League Champions after an exciting 33β31 grand final victory! π Cadence delivered an outstanding all-round performance, finishing as the game's leading scorer with 10 points, along with 5 steals, 4 assists and 1 rebound. π This incredible achievement has earned Cadence and her team a place in the NSW State Cup, where they will compete against the best teams from across the state. We are so proud of Cadence and wish her and her teammates every success as they prepare for this exciting next challenge. Good luckβwe'll be cheering you on! πππ

Thank you to these wonderful educators for giving up their time in order to make sure that our Year 6βs had an experience of their national capital. These are the people that have cared for your children on their big adventure. Without staff volunteering their time away from their families to care for our students, these opportunities would not be possible. If you get a chance to thank them when you pick up your children, please do. This photo was taken before they spent three days travelling with 126 10-12 year olds so, warningβ¦.they may look a little more tired than this.

PART 1: Year 6 Canberra Camp - Day 3 Our final day is well underway, and we're making every moment count! Students have continued exploring Canberra and have visited the AIS, Questacon and the Arboretum. It's been an incredible few days of learning, laughter and making memories together πβ¨ We'll keep families updated throughout the afternoon, with any changes to our expected arrival time communicated via Compass. We can't wait to see everyone back at St Luke's this evening! π

PART 1: Year 6 Canberra Camp - Day 2 ππ¦πΊβ¨ Another early start in Canberra with a beautiful sunrise setting the scene for another busy day of learning and adventure. Today, our students visited Parliament House, the Australian War Memorial, the National Arboretum, the National Gallery of Australia, the National Electoral Education Centre and Mount Ainslie Lookout. From guided tours and role plays to orienteering and hands on experiences, it was another day packed with learning opportunities and fun. We are now getting ready for dinner and are looking forward to another exciting day ahead tomorrow!

π¦πΊ Year 6 Canberra Excursion - Day 1! πβ¨ What an incredible start to our Canberra adventure! Our students set off bright and early this morning, making a stop in Berrima to stretch their legs before continuing the journey south. Adding to the excitement, we were the very first school to travel on Alura Coaches' brand new bus! A pretty special way to begin the trip! ππ Across the day, our three coach groups explored some of Australia's most significant national institutions including Parliament House, The National Electoral Education Centre, The National Gallery of Australia and The Museum of Australian Democracy Students participated in guided tours, interactive learning experiences and role plays, bringing their classroom learning about Australia's democracy, history and culture to life. After a busy day of sightseeing and learning, everyone arrived safely at Alivio Tourist Park, enjoyed dinner together and have now settled into their cabins for the evening. It has been a fantastic first day filled with learning, laughter and memorable experiences. We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings as our Year 6 students continue exploring everything Canberra has to offer!

The Makerspace was buzzing today as our Year 8 Technology students got hands-on crafting their own stools! πͺ΅π¨ From measuring and cutting to assembling and refining, students are developing practical skills, creativity, and resilience with every step of the process.
