Digital technologies have become more embedded in our work life throughout the last 10 years. As the world increasingly engages with the possibilities that come with technologies, developing the digital skills and capabilities of each child is becoming more and more necessary.
The Australian Government has responded with the implementation of a compulsory K-10 digital technologies curriculum. In 2017, St Luke’s supports this government priority with the implementation of our priority for ‘coding in the curriculum’, and there is our commitment for each child to“be Digitally Literate” is one of our six pillars of learning. Furthermore, there is the commitment to ensure students with engages with contemporary software for 3D Printers, laser cutters and other manufacturing technology.
