👖 Jeans for Genes Day 2025 👖 Yesterday at St Luke’s, students and staff proudly swapped their uniforms for denim in support of Jeans for Genes Day. 💙 This national initiative raises awareness and funds for the Children’s Medical Research Institute, helping scientists find cures and treatments for genetic diseases affecting thousands of Aussie kids. Our students had an incredible day at the WaterNSW Industry Day at Warragamba Dam. They explored exciting career pathways in the water industry, everything from trades and engineering to science and environmental roles. They also enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour and took part in hands-on, interactive activities. One of the highlights was learning about the incredible journey of Longfin Eels. These eels leave the dam and swim thousands of kilometres to the ocean near Vanuatu, where they lay their eggs and complete their life cycle. But the story doesn’t end there. Their babies make the long journey all the way back to Australia, returning to the very same rivers and dams. A huge thank you to Water NSW, REIP, and the staff at Warragamba Dam for making the day so enjoyable.

We are proud to unveil two stunning new artworks now on display at the heart of our school—our Marketplace and Visitors Centre. These beautiful pieces were designed and painted by our students, working in collaboration with artists from Dalmarri and guided by our CSPD Jarara Indigenous Unit. The artworks tell powerful stories of connection, identity, and place, reflecting the strength and richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures. We honour and acknowledge the deep contributions of our Indigenous students and community members. These artworks stand as a visual reminder of our commitment to reconciliation, respect, and truth-telling.
