St Luke’s was abuzz this morning as 2019 Year 7 students arrived in a range of different uniforms from schools all over Western Sydney for the Year 7 Orientation Day.
There was an element of trepidation and also excitement as next year’s Year 7 cohort, including current St Luke’s Year 6 students, gathered together in the theatrette to hear about their day ahead.
After a welcome from Mr Miller and hearing from current Year 7 students, our Year 6 students and future students were divided into five teams and went off to enjoy different activities around the College.
They experienced an art lesson with Mrs Pettenon, STEM with Mrs Rainima, Coding with Miss Miano, Maths Problem Solving with Mrs Aggarwal and Team Building with Mrs Atkins. At the end of the day, the entire group came back together to finish off the afternoon playing sport with Mrs Paz.
It was a fun-filled, jam-packed day, giving all of the attendees an opportunity to get a taste of life at St Luke’s. We are really looking forward to Day 1 next year, when our Year 7 students arrive at the College all in the St Luke’s uniform!

There's MUCH to celebrate at St Luke's, and last week, it was KINDY'S turn to showcase the learning that they have been actively participating in! With smiles all round, Kindergarten Kangas and Roos students invited their parents and families to join in with them to play some sports games, investigate Data problems and write some creative stories. There was much pride in the way our Kindergarten students demonstrated their mathematics and creative writing skills! Thanks to all our families who were able to attend!

Bishop of Parramatta recognises student excellence
Each year, one Year 12 student in every Catholic secondary school in the Diocese of Parramatta is awarded the Bishop of Parramatta Award for Student Excellence. This prestigious award is nominated by the school principal and recognises a student’s witness to their Catholic faith and outstanding contribution to the school community in areas such as academic excellence, sporting achievement, creative and performing arts, social justice, vocational education and community involvement.
