Since beginning operations in January 2017, there has been a great deal of interest in what is happening at St Luke’s Catholic College as we develop the new normal in education.
Many, many visitors have come to the College over the last 18 months to ‘have a look’ at the school. From educators to space designers, the interest is not only continuing, but growing!
In response to this overwhelmingly positive response to our emerging school, the College has developed Professional Learning programs to work with those who have similar interests and goals as us.
One such group to participate in such a program this week was the Leadership Team from Mary Immaculate Primary School in Quakers Hill. Principal Steven Dowd recognised that while the journeys of the two schools were different, there were definite similarities. “There is great local knowledge” he said, “the answer’s in the neighbourhood. Our staff see themselves as part of creating something and as part of that, we need to connect globally and locally”.
St Luke’s Catholic College is offering a range of workshops available to interested parties, including ‘Ideation workshops’, ‘Play in Kindergarten’, ‘General walk throughs’ and ‘Pathways and multiple curriculums for secondary students’. Anyone interested in participating in one of these professional learning opportunities can contact the College.
